I hope this works right. I wanted "Julie the Juice" to be a place I can post a new recipe each week. Some may be simple recipes you can easily do for a quick dinner and some more gourmet for entertaining purposes. Why? You may ask. My mother had to go back to work when I was young. She cooked when she could and she did amazing things....especially when you thought their was nothing in the house she could through some soup/stew together by just dumping what she had into a pot and making it come out great. She tried to teach me to cook but I was a cool teenager who didn't want to be bothered with that homey stuff. Well when I got married I could make 3 things....French Toast, Spagetti, and Tomato mac and cheese. Good of course....but pretty gross to live on everyday. Now I was pretty fortunate to marry into a family of exceptional cooks. My husband, Trent, first taught me to cook by taking me out on a date to a restaurant and then coming home and he would then try to make whatever it was we ate at the restaurant. And it always tasted Amazing. My mother in law Joyce began to invite me to dinner and then give me the recipes she made. Then Kamille did the same. It now has turned into a Vicious, yet Beautiful cycle. A cycle of cooking, feeding, loving, and sharing recipes. MY WISE FRIEND, KARI, SHARED THIS QUOTE WITH ME....
"We cannot foresee the long term cause and effects of nurturing our families at the dinner table. It is after all not just bodies that are being fed but souls."
My goal with this new blog is to help my friends, family and others to see how important and how easy it can be to feed family yummy meals, feed their souls and begin to enjoy cooking. There is something about starting with nothing and creating something that is healthy and tastes good. Its empowering.....I appreciate the gift I have recieved from my family...the love of cooking and I hope to pass that along to others. Happy Cooking to you all.

You may not know where that quote came from, but you could have said, "My wise friend, Kari, shared this quote with me." Just because I don't blog doesn't mean I don't like to be in other people's blogs. Although now I have a username. Darnit-Julie- quit trying to make me a well-rounded person! :)
What a great idea-keep the recipes coming! I also think food is more powerful than people belive. So many events and memories are centered around food! I'm excited to try some of these recipes!
