I had this really cool opportunity to teach about cooking at our stake woman's conference. Of course I was nervous - so in true Kamille fashion I talked a lot. Something I have done as long as I can remember whenever I'm nervous. So I divulged many more personal things than I would care to admit. It was fun to really look at why I cook and what I get from it though. Anyway in the class it came up that I love to make this dip for parties I promised to post the recipe, so in the off chance that anyone actually wants it here it is.
Sausage Dip
1 Medium size package Hot Jimmy Dean Sausage
1 - 8 oz thing of cream cheese
1 can Rotel tomatoes (Do not substitute)
Cook the sausage melt in the cream cheese, if the tomatoes have a lot of liquid drain some of it. If not just dump them in. Heat on low until all is warm. Serve with tortilla chips.
This is a little spicy. If you don't want it as spicy use regular sausage. If you don't have hot sausage I will just throw in some red pepper flakes. I love the taste of this one and I love how easy it is to make.
